Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Collaboration and mentoring are cornerstones of Geosyntec's culture. We operate under a sell-manage-do culture, and so we expect that you'd work on challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management. You may also be asked to take on project management responsibilities, along with staff management and development, and mentoring tasks. Some of the key responsibilities may include:
- Managing, siting, permitting, planning, licensing, compliance and oversight of architecture such as masterplans, special studies, manufacturing clusters, industrial and warehouse structures, pre-engineered buildings, facilities and supporting infrastructure;
- Facilitating value engineering and design optimization for cost-effective solutions;
- Managing the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management;
- Supporting client with tendering process, evaluation, and award of work;
- Ensuring that the coordinated design meets the client's design expectations and satisfies technical and code compliance matters;
- Overseeing the preparation of reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; and
- Proposal Preparation Support
Education and Licensure
- Bachelor's degree in architectural engineering or a related field of study (required)
- Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
- Professional licensure (preferred)
Skills, Experience And Qualifications
- At least 5 years (7+ desirable) of related experience overseeing the design of infrastructure buildings and facilities or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Experience of permitting, planning, compliance and oversight of architectural design projects in the Middle East. (required)
- Strong oral and technical writing skills. (required)
- Experience with international architectural design standards including Eurocode and British Standards. (required)
