Our client is a 50 years old global market leader in production, distribution, installation and maintenance of high-quality crane rail solutions. Their products are used in many different applications and end-markets including ports, shipyards, steel mills, aluminium smelters, railway depots and heavy industries.
Currently, we are hiring an Area Sales Manager for our client at Dubai location. The role will be responsible to market and sell the company solutions (Design, Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Crane Rail Systems) and develop the market share of the company maintaining profitability.
Responsibilities
Portfolio growth
- Prospect the markets under his responsibilities;
- Manage and develop a client portfolio in various industrial sectors such as steel industry, cement plants, port facilities, heavy industries, handling machine manufacturers, les tramways, automated warehouses, power sector.
- Maintain and develop regular contacts with existing and potential clients in order to meet the commercial targets
Offers
- Analyse the client needs and propose technical solutions that meet the client's requirements, in collaboration with the project managers and the technical department
- Draft the commercial offers while monitoring and controlling the profitability of the commercial affairs;
Contact and knowledge
- Maintain and develop regular contacts with engineering firms, supervise construction work and customer service;
- Develop his technical skills and knowledge
- Keep contacts with key players on the market to be aware of potential markets opportunities and evolutions
Health, Safety, and Quality
- Follow and enforce all workplace safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure project activities comply with HSE standards
- Ensure high quality standards on the project by maintaining all relevant records & following protocols.
Depending on the company's priorities, the job holder may be assigned other tasks within his skills and competences and for which he will be trained by a third party if needed.
Requirements:
- engineering degree in mechanical /structural engineering + management courses is an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of English (both written & spoken) Other language being an asset
- Knowledge of MS Office suite is a must (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) Knowledge of CAD & MS Projects is a plus
- Negotiation and communication skills, strong analytical and organizational skills, dynamic and proactive
- To be ready to travel over 50% of his time around Middle East, East Africa & South African Region.
- Ideally 5 years of direct sales experience in crane related products, marketed to the heavy industrial sector such as primary metals, ports, and automotive industries.
