Overall Purpose of the Job:
The Power Production Asset Management Engineer is responsible for monitoring and optimizing the technical, financial, and contractual performance of power production assets under operation across different Business Units. The role aims to maximize asset value, ensure compliance, manage risks, and support investment decisions, while identifying synergies across the asset portfolio to support the Company's strategic objectives.
Primary Tasks:
- Define, monitor, and implement technical and financial KPIs across power production assets.
- Prepare monthly asset performance reports, covering technical output, revenue collection, and actual expenditures.
- Propose and follow up on corrective actions to address deviations in performance, costs, or revenues.
- Maintain a consolidated asset timeline capturing key operational and contractual milestones.
- Monitor asset profitability by updating financial models with actual operational data.
- Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure compliance with loan and financing conditions.
- Assess portfolio exposure to specific clients, sectors, and foreign exchange risks.
- Provide lessons learned and performance insights to enhance commercial offerings.
- Prepare and manage the Asset Management budget, including land rentals, licenses, permits, insurance, and legal costs.
- Manage and oversee project contracts and commercial agreements during the operational phase.
- Develop and maintain risk matrices for assets under operation and monitor mitigation actions.
- Ensure all insurances, permits, and licenses are valid and maintained throughout the asset lifecycle.
- Coordinate with the Development team on commercial amendments or new arrangements for operational projects.
- Analyze portfolio-level performance, including solar penetration and production efficiency.
- Support the O&M team in developing and implementing OPEX optimization plans.
- Conduct site safety tours, identify risks, and provide improvement recommendations.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth asset operations.
Educational background, Skills and Experience required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3-4 years of experience in power generation or renewable energy asset management.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling and project economics.
- Solid project management and coordination skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
Working Conditions:
- Regular travel between project sites.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours when required due to operational needs.
