Job Description

Position Objective:

Act as the technical authority for data center asset identification and asset management standards. Lead and oversee field survey execution through the Field Inventory Technician (FIT) team, ensuring consistent methodology, high-quality data capture, and accurate, reconciliation-ready outputs across multiple data center sites.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for data center asset management practices and standards; telecom asset domain knowledge is a strong advantage.
  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate the Field Inventory Technician (FIT) team performing physical surveys across multiple sites.
  • Assign daily survey targets, validate outputs, monitor performance, and proactively remove operational blockers.
  • Define, document, and enforce survey standards and procedures, including required asset attributes, naming conventions, rack/row/location identifiers, tagging and labeling rules, evidence capture standards and exception handling methodology
  • Provide technical guidance to accurately identify assets and differentiate equipment types, including interpretation of labels and serial numbers, ports and chassis identifiers and vendor/model distinctions
  • Ensure accurate capture and validation of all mandatory asset data fields.
  • Design and implement quality control mechanisms including sampling checks, peer verification, repeat scans, and discrepancy triage prior to reconciliation submission.
  • Coordinate with data center operations and site teams to manage access control, escorting requirements, and compliance with safety procedures.
  • Support the reconciliation workflow by preparing clean survey extracts and structured discrepancy categorization for the Data & Reporting / Reconciliation Specialist (where applicable).
  • Ensure full compliance with site operational rules, safety standards, and information security policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in data center asset management, audit, or data center operations; telecom asset exposure is a strong advantage.
  • Strong technical understanding of data center hardware and telecom equipment identification fundamentals (vendors, chassis families, labeling conventions).
  • Proven experience managing on-site and/or remote teams and executing multi-site survey programs using consistent methodologies.
  • Familiarity with CMDB/DCIM platforms and ITIL-based asset lifecycle practices is an advantage.
  • Strong practical experience using scanning tools, structured checklists, and producing clean, reconciliation-ready datasets.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written) is mandatory.
