Job Summary
The Commercial Assistant Manager supports the Commercial Manager in driving business performance across assigned markets through close coordination with distributor partners and continuous follow-up of commercial priorities. The role is responsible for ensuring strong distributor alignment on order management, stock coverage, sales execution, payment discipline, and new product launches, while maintaining clear visibility on market performance and execution standards. Acting as a key link between internal commercial teams and distributor partners, the role requires regular market engagement, strong analytical follow-up, and proactive coordination to ensure agreed commercial plans are executed effectively across UAE, Kuwait, and Yemen.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Commercial Manager in managing day-to-day distributor operations across assigned markets, ensuring alignment with business priorities and commercial objectives.
- Monitor order planning, stock coverage, shipment flow, and SKU availability to ensure continuity of supply and early identification of risks.
- Follow up distributor sales performance, highlighting opportunities and concerns related to sales trends, stock movements, and execution quality.
- Closely monitor distributor payment status across all supply sources, ensuring timely collection in line with agreed payment terms and maintaining full discipline on receivables.
- Coordinate with distributor finance and commercial teams to secure 100% on-time payments and proactively address any collection risks or delays.
- Conduct regular market visits across UAE to assess in-store execution, product availability, visibility, promotional compliance, and distributor sales effectiveness.
- Ensure agreed promotional plans, visibility standards, secondary placements, and launch activities are executed properly in market through distributor teams.
- Monitor new product launches, ensuring readiness of stock, listing progress, visibility, and speed of execution in line with business objectives.
- Maintain regular communication with distributor commercial teams to drive timely action on identified gaps and priorities.
- Support Kuwait market through structured distributor follow-up and commercial monitoring, while maintaining remote oversight of Yemen business performance and execution priorities.
- Collect and report market intelligence covering competition, pricing, promotions, customer developments, and execution trends.
- Analyze available sales and market data to support commercial decisions and identify growth opportunities by product, channel, and customer.
- Support preparation of business reviews, distributor meetings, and commercial presentations by ensuring data accuracy and timely follow-up on agreed actions.
- Coordinate closely with internal functions and distributor teams to ensure smooth execution of agreed commercial plans.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 4 to 6 years of relevant FMCG experience in commercial, sales, trade marketing, or distributor management roles.
- Strong understanding of distributor-led business models and in-market execution dynamics.
- Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales, stock, and market data.
- Strong communication and follow-up capability.
- High level of ownership, discipline, and market orientation.
- Proficiency in Excel and business reporting tools.
