A highly motivated Assistant Consultant- Urban design with local UAE experience and a foundation in sustainable, climate responsive design and a proven ability to operate across conceptual, technical, and visual communication workflows. With professional experience gained locally, the candidate brings a blend of creative thinking, research driven design, and hands-on project delivery with expertise in generative design, three-dimensional modelling and cutting-edge presentation skills.
Driven by curiosity and a desire to contribute meaningfully to urban challenges, the candidate excels in collaborative environments, adapts quickly to new tools and methodologies, and delivers as part of the team. Equipped with advanced digital modeling and visualization capabilities, strong presentation skills, and a commitment to continual learning, this urban designer is well-suited for multidisciplinary studios working on innovative, culturally relevant, and high impact projects.
Responsibilities
- Design & Concept Development Communication
- Highquality urban concepts supported by research, precedent analysis, and diagrammatic studies.
- Produce urban sketches, models, and visual narratives to communicate design intent.
- 3D Modelling & GIS Coordination
- Create and refine detailed 3D models using CAD, GIS tools, Rhino, SketchUp, Grasshopper, and Blender.
- Support GIS workflows and ensure models align with project standards and regulatory requirements.
- Technical Drawings & Documentation
- Prepare coordinated urban design drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and data sets.
- Visualization & Presentation
- Produce high-quality renderings, diagrams, and presentation layouts using Adobe Suite and rendering tools such as Enscape, D5, Lumion, and Twin motion as well as new AI Tools.
- Design visually clear, compelling urban design presentations for internal reviews and client meetings.
- Project Collaboration & Client Communication
- Support senior urban design team with design tasks, team coordination, and production workflows.
- Research & Sustainable Design
- Conduct project specific research, environmental studies, and site analyses.
- Apply principles of sustainable and climate responsive urban design to design proposals.
Qualifications
3D Modelling & Computational Tools: Rhino 7/8, Grasshopper, SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, Blender
Rendering & Visualization: Enscape, D5 Render, Lumion, Twin motion
Graphic Design: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Digital Fabrication: Laser cutting, 3D printing, physical model making
