Job Description

  • Assist in the development of the Bank's long-term strategic plan and annual business plan.
  • Support preparation of strategy papers and product notes aligned with implementation of the corporate strategic plan.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support strategic positioning and decision-making.
  • Contribute to translation of strategic priorities into annual work programmes and departmental action plans.
  • Support monitoring of strategy implementation and performance tracking.
  • Assist in preparing strategic reports and presentations for Senior Management and Board Committees.
  • Support half-year and annual strategic performance reviews.
  • Track key strategic initiatives and provide progress updates.
  • Contribute to environmental scanning and event-triggered strategic reviews.
  • Assist in developing financial models and projections aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Conduct market, industry, and competitor analysis.
  • Support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis exercises.
  • Provide analytical input to budgeting and planning processes.
  • Liaise with internal departments to gather data and align strategy initiatives.
  • Support stakeholder engagement activities linked to corporate strategy execution.
  • Adhere to AML, Regulatory, and Conduct Compliance policies.
  • Report any suspicious or non-compliant activities.
  • Complete all mandatory compliance training requirements.
  • Postgraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognised university.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in corporate strategy, consulting, financial services, or related fields.
  • Experience in strategic analysis, financial modelling, or business planning.
  • Strong understanding of African trade and development issues is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Financial modelling and forecasting capability.
  • Excellent research and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (knowledge of French, Arabic, or Portuguese is an advantage).
  • Ability to function effectively in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
