To manage the end-to-end technical development of babywear garments (boys & girls), ensuring product safety, correct fit, construction feasibility, and production readiness while supporting suppliers and internal teams from development to bulk production.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Development
- Create specifications and tech packs based on the initial design board and development inputs.
- Translate design concepts into technically feasible with correct specs, construction and grading.
- Provide technical clarification to suppliers during initial development stages.
2. Supplier Support & Communication
- Support suppliers with technical guidance after receiving the design board and tech pack.
- Ensure suppliers clearly understand construction details, measurement specs, and quality expectations.
- Work closely with suppliers to achieve Right First Time (RFT) performance.
3. Sample Evaluation & Technical Review
- Conduct early-stage sign-off sample reviews focusing on:
- Child safety compliance
- Production feasibility
- Construction risks
- Review samples on mannequin with Buying and Design teams, providing inputs on:
- Fit and aesthetics
- Customer expectations
- Specifications and grading
- Construction improvements.
- Knowledge of CAD-based pattern making systems.
- Ability to evaluate pattern balance, grading logic, and garment construction.
4. Product Safety, Compliance & Process Control
- Ensure garments comply with child safety standards relevant to babywear.
- Possess knowledge of garment testing protocols (GPT) and testing requirements.
- Provide risk assessment at early development stages to prevent production issues.
- Support suppliers on critical operations, production breakdown and operation flow.
- Working knowledge of printing, dyeing, and washing processes relevant to babywear.
- Ensure appropriate wash care instructions and labeling requirements.
- CAD, Pattern & Construction understanding

Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Fashion Technology, Apparel Production, or Garment Manufacturing
- Experience working with international buyers / kids wear brands
- Strong understanding of PLM / Tech Pack systems
