Job Description

Operations

  • Ensure all marine operations comply with statutory, class, and company requirements
  • Monitor weather and rig motions; advise the OIM/Marine Planner on operational impact
  • Maintain stability calculations, load distribution, and daily marine reports
  • Coordinate helicopter and supply vessel movements, including personnel and materials
  • Ensure readiness of navigation equipment, cranes, lifting gear, bulk, safety, and pollution control systems
  • Support rig moves, inspections, marine logs, and ongoing regulatory compliance

HSE

  • Apply Safety Analysis to all tasks and actively promote Safety Conversations across the rig
  • Ensure QHSE policies, safety case requirements, and safety inductions are communicated and understood
  • Exercise Time Out for Safety (TOFS) when hazards or changes in conditions are identified
  • Participate in emergency drills and perform assigned emergency response duties while maintaining high housekeeping standards

PREREQUISITES / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Crane Operator, Deck Supervisor, or Assistant Marine Planner on a jackup unit
  • Maritime background with solid knowledge of marine calculations, stability, and drilling unit operations
  • Valid medical examination and vaccination certificate
  • Meet the training requirements according to the applicable training matrix
