Why this role matters

As Assistant Manager Contracts, you will take ownership of drafting, compiling, reviewing, and finalising contracts once the procurement process is complete. Working closely with the Procurement Manager, you will ensure that all contracts are accurate, compliant, legally reviewed, and executed in line with project requirements.

This is a role for someone detailoriented, organised, and confident working across multiple projects in a fastmoving environment.

What you'll be responsible for

At a corporate level, you will:

  • Support the consistent application of contract standards, governance, and best practice across DHE projects
  • Ensure contracts align with internal policies, audit requirements, and delegated authorities
  • Support reporting, tracking, and monitoring of contract status across the project portfolio
  • Contribute to commercial governance and risk management throughout the contracting cycle

At a project level, you will:

  • Take over from the Procurement Manager once the purchase order has been issued
  • Compile full contract documentation, ensuring all commercial, technical, and procurement inputs are incorporated
  • Draft contracts and prepare them for internal review
  • Coordinate with Legal to ensure compliance with DHE standards and contract templates
  • Manage all revisions, clarifications, and updates until the contract is ready for execution
  • Ensure contracts are executed correctly and stored in accordance with internal processes
  • Work closely with project, engineering, commercial, procurement, and legal teams to ensure contract alignment with scope and delivery requirements
  • Track contract progress and status across multiple projects
  • Support stakeholders across multiple business units to ensure contracts are finalised on time and accurately

What we're looking for

This role suits a detaildriven, commercially aware professional who can work independently, manage multiple contracts at once, and maintain high standards under tight timelines.

You will bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Law, Commercial, Business, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or similar
  • Strong experience in contract administration or contract drafting, ideally in a construction or projects environment
  • Understanding of procurement processes and tendering (to ensure accurate contract compilation)
  • Experience working with Legal teams and standard contract templates
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills

Additional strengths that will set you apart

  • Experience in leisure, entertainment, hospitality, or public destination assets
  • Experience in fastpaced project environments with high documentation volumes
  • Knowledge of standard contract forms (FIDIC, consultancy agreements, supplier contracts, etc.)

Who you'll work with

You will partner closely with Procurement, Legal, Projects, Technical Operations, Finance, Risk, Facilities, and Commercial teams across multiple DHE business units.

Externally, you will engage with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and specialist partners during the contract compilation and execution process.

  • You will operate as a peer-level team member alongside Procurement Managers
  • This role has no direct reports
  • You will be expected to work independently, own your contracts, and integrate quickly into project teams
  • 11month contract role
