Assistant Recreation Manager

We are seeking a proactive and energetic Assistant Recreation Manager to support the leadership of our recreation facilities and deliver exceptional guest experiences in line with Forbes Five-Star standards. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong guest engagement, and a willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in managing daily operations of the recreation department, including pool, beach, fitness center, and activity programs.

Ensure all guest interactions reflect Forbes service standards, providing warm, personalized, and anticipatory service.

Supervise, train, and motivate recreation colleagues to maintain high levels of safety, hospitality, and professionalism.

Coordinate guest activities, outdoor programs, and special events, ensuring smooth execution and memorable experiences.

Monitor cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of all recreational facilities, including outdoor areas.

Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism and prompt resolution.

Support scheduling, reporting, inventory management, and departmental administration.

Uphold all health, safety, and emergency procedures, ensuring compliance with hotel and local regulations.

Collaborate with other departments to deliver seamless and engaging guest experiences.

Requirements:

35 years experience in recreation, leisure, or guest engagement roles within a luxury hotel or Forbes-rated property.

Previous supervisory or assistant management experience preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset.

Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods (pool, beach, activity areas).

Knowledge of recreational programming, safety protocols, and guest engagement activities.

Energetic, proactive, and service-driven personality.

CPR/First Aid certification is an advantage.

Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
