The Role
As an Assistant Storekeeper, you will play an integral role in supporting the storekeeping operations by ensuring efficient stock handling, organization, and timely distribution of goods. You will assist in maintaining the storeroom's cleanliness and organization while ensuring inventory is accurately recorded and readily available for other departments. Your role contributes to the smooth operation of various functions within the company, ensuring that the right supplies are always in place to meet operational needs.

Key Areas of Responsibilities
Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Red Sea Global Hospitality employees continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues. As a Storeroom Assistant, you will need to:
Inventory Management & Stock Handling
- Assist in the organization and storage of materials, goods, and supplies within the storeroom.
- Ensure that inventory is organized and stored correctly to prevent damage, contamination, or waste.
- Help maintain accurate records of stock movements, including receipts, issues, and returns.
- Assist in performing regular stock counts and audits to ensure inventory levels are accurate.
- Monitor the condition of stored goods, reporting any discrepancies, damages, or expired items to the Storekeeper.
Receiving & Inspecting Deliveries
- Assist in receiving deliveries of goods, ensuring that the quantity and quality meet the specified requirements.
- Inspect goods for damages, discrepancies, and expired items and report any issues to the Storekeeper.
- Ensure that all deliveries are properly logged, and that necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
- Safely store received items in appropriate locations to ensure easy access and avoid inventory damage.
Stock Distribution
- Assist in distributing goods to relevant departments in a timely manner as per requisitions.
- Ensure that the requested items are provided in the right quantities and on time, following established procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of stock movements, ensuring all items are recorded and tracked.
- Help organize the storage of goods to optimize available space and ensure easy retrieval when required.
Housekeeping & Safety
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized storeroom by following proper housekeeping standards.
- Ensure that all goods are stored safely to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Adhere to safety and hygiene standards for both perishables and non-perishables.
- Maintain the integrity of stored goods by ensuring that all safety protocols are followed during handling.
Stock Rotation & Waste Minimization
- Assist with rotating stock to ensure older items are used first, minimizing waste and spoilage.
- Monitor the condition of perishable goods and ensure that any expired or damaged items are disposed of appropriately.
- Report slow-moving stock or excess inventory to the Storekeeper to help manage stock levels efficiently.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements, receipts, issues, and returns.
- Assist in preparing inventory reports and updating stock records as needed.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is complete and filed according to company policies.
- Communicate effectively with the Storekeeper to highlight any discrepancies or issues related to inventory or stock levels.
Team Support & Collaboration
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth and efficient storeroom operations.
- Assist in supporting team members with stock-related requests and inquiries.
- Work closely with the Storekeeper to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and organized manner.
