The project:

This is an opportunity to be involved in the delivery of major sports stadiums and associated projects in Saudi Arabia. Mace is currently delivering the programme which will require high-calibre and experienced people to lead teams throughout each phase of the project.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Integrates sustainability standards like LEED, MOSTADAM, and ISO 14001, and aligns with KSA Vision 2030 and FIFA 2034 goals across design, construction, and operations.
  • Supports the development and implementation of climate change, sustainability, and social value strategies across projects, ensuring delivery of agreed outcomes.
  • Acts as a technical expert in areas such as energy/carbon, waste, water, responsible sourcing, and sustainable buildings, while promoting innovation.
  • Provides broad sustainability support to stakeholders, covering major environmental and social issues.
  • Contributes to bid support and work-winning efforts through innovation and client engagement.
  • Guides sustainable building design, including embodied and operational carbon, net zero carbon strategies, and assessing their impact on cost, programme, and operations.
  • Analyzes and validates sustainability data-covering carbon, energy, water, and waste-alongside design documents and commissioning outputs to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Recommends sustainable technologies, conducts gap and risk assessments, and maintains the project's sustainability roadmap and targets.

You'll need to have:

  • Preferred membership in professional bodies (e.g., IEMA, CIEMA, ICE, RICS).
  • LEED AP or equivalent certification with building sustainability experience.
  • Postgraduate engineering qualification preferred.
  • Extensive years of sustainability experience, including at least 5 major projects.
