Location: Cairo
Job Summary:
The Assistant Tour Operator will be responsible for coordinating client itineraries, handling bookings and reservations (including flights via Amadeus), and ensuring all travel arrangements run smoothly. This role requires strong attention to detail, a good command of English, and solid tech skills for handling day-to-day tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing detailed travel itineraries and operational plans for clients
- Make and confirm reservations for hotels, transfers, and other travel services
- Use Amadeus to book and manage flight reservations
- Follow up with suppliers and service providers to ensure bookings are confirmed and services are delivered as planned
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and service confirmations
- Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless tour execution
Requirements:
- 12 years of experience in travel operations or a similar role
- Proficient in using the Amadeus booking system
- Strong command of the English language (spoken and written)
- Tech-savvy with excellent knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple bookings simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with inbound tour operations in Egypt
- Familiarity with local hotels, transportation services, and tourist sites
