The project:

This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.

As associate construction director, you will serve as the client's representative on-site, leading the day-to-day delivery of major civil and infrastructure works. You will manage and supervise main contractors to ensure full technical compliance, high-quality execution, and strict program adherence while driving a best-in-class health and safety culture. Your role will be pivotal in safeguarding client objectives, resolving technical issues, maintaining effective interface coordination, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex infrastructure assets.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Lead safe, high-quality, compliant delivery while championing well-being, inclusivity, and strong health and safety standards.

  • Build trusted client and stakeholder relationships, translating strategic vision into clear delivery plans.

  • Uphold ethical, fiscally responsible project governance and embed long-term strategic value.

  • Empower teams through guidance, knowledge sharing, and bestpractice delivery excellence.

  • Manage a strong health, safety, and well-being culture, ensuring compliance, rigorous audits, and effective critical controls.

  • Build trusted client and stakeholder relationships, translating strategic vision into clear delivery plans.

  • Oversee multidisciplinary coordination, stakeholder engagement, and district-wide interfaces to drive safe, highquality delivery.

  • Ensure adherence to execution plans, standards, and documentation while resolving design or contract gaps.

  • Provide clear reporting, lead project meetings, and champion continuous improvement across delivery activities.

  • Lead day-to-day site operations, ensuring safe systems of work, effective method statements, strong permit-to-work controls, and robust supervision of contractors.

  • Monitor on-site progress, identify issues early, and implement corrective actions to maintain programme, quality, and safety benchmarks.

  • Oversee multidisciplinary coordination, stakeholder engagement, and district-wide interfaces to ensure seamless, high-quality delivery.

  • Ensure strict adherence to execution plans, technical standards, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and project documentation, proactively resolving design or contract gaps.

You'll need to have:

  • Degree qualified with professional membership (MCIOB, MAPM, MRICS, MICE) and strong technical, commercial, and sustainability awareness.

  • Experience delivering complex, large-scale infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, utilities, and major civil works.

  • Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary delivery teams, stakeholder engagement, and robust project governance.

  • Excellent communication skills with proficiency in enterprise-level project management and reporting systems.

  • Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
