Ansible Automation Engineer
Job Description
- Highly skilled Ansible Consultant with expertise in deploying and managing Ansible Tower and Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing playbooks for various customer use cases.
- Deep understanding of automation and configuration management, the ability to work on complex use cases, and a knack for out-of-the-box thinking to provide innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement Ansible playbooks tailored to customer requirements.
- Deploy, configure, and manage Ansible Tower and Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) to streamline automation processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with customers to gather requirements and provide expert guidance on best practices for automation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Ansible playbooks, Ansible Tower, and AAP.
- Work on complex use cases, demonstrating the ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Ansible playbooks and automation workflows.
- Develop and maintain documentation for playbooks, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest features and updates in Ansible and related technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
3+ years of experience with Ansible Automation.
Proven experience as an Ansible Consultant or similar role.
Extensive expertise with deploying and managing Ansible Tower and Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).
Strong proficiency in developing Ansible playbooks for various use cases.
Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Ability to handle complex use cases and provide innovative, out-of-the-box solutions.
Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage.
Experience with Linux/Unix administration.
Familiarity with other automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef) is a plus.
Scripting skills - Python, Shell scripting
- Ansible certification(s) - Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
