As Shamal Holding continues to grow, we're in search of an
Associate Director - Private Markets Investment. In this role, you will support origination, due diligence, implementation, and monitoring of private assets investment portfolio through both fund investments as well as co-investment opportunities.
- Participate in and lead key stages of the transaction process across private equity, private credit, and infrastructure investments. This includes sourcing, screening, evaluating, and executing both fund commitments and coinvestment opportunities, supported by detailed research, riskreturn assessment, and the preparation of clear recommendations for senior leadership.
- Conduct and oversee comprehensive due diligence on fund managers and direct/coinvestment opportunities, including financial analysis, operational assessments, industry research, and competitive benchmarking.
- Apply advanced financial modeling techniques to assess investment viability, value creation potential, and expected returns.
- Lead commercial, financial, and structural due diligence for coinvestment transactions, working closely with legal, compliance, risk, and finance teams to evaluate terms, governance structures, alignment of interests, and potential risks across private equity, private credit, and infrastructure deals.
- Prepare highquality investment recommendation materials, including presentations, detailed investment memos, and evaluation reports, to support informed decisionmaking by senior management and investment committees.
- Collaborate with senior team members to shape investment strategy across private markets. Contribute to asset allocation discussions, pipeline development, and the refinement of investment frameworks, processes, and guidelines to align with overall organizational objectives. Perform market mapping and comparative analysis of private equity, private credit, and infrastructure managers to identify potential investment partners. Evaluate track records.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Advanced degree or professional certification (CFA, CAIA) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in investment analysis, financial modeling, and due diligence. Previous experience in private equity, investment banking, or asset management is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and quantitative analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and attention to detail.
