Job Overview:

The Associate Field Engineer utilizes the existing Field Engineering procedures to address the area of concerns while supporting the overall goals of engineering projects. In this entry level role, they will receive instructions, guidance and direction from Senior Engineers and team members while leveraging their conceptual knowledge, practices, and procedures related to Field Engineering. This role offers a great opportunity for professional development and hands-on experience in the field.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular visits to the project sites and yard to monitor progress, gather data, and assess compliance with engineering specifications, design and safety standards.
  • Readiness to travel to offshore for the job execution, including relocation to Onshore site as required.
  • Collaborate with other Field engineers / Senior Field engineers to identify and address routine engineering issues encountered during field visits, using established procedures and methodologies.
  • Assist in the execution of engineering tasks and projects, providing support to senior engineers as needed, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Assist Senior engineers for the development of detailed project execution plans, including engineering deliverables, Installation schedules, and commissioning activities.
  • Identify on-site technical challenges and mitigate risks, optimize project performance in consultation with Senior Engineers.
  • Adhere to all QHSE policies and guidelines, promoting a culture of quality, safety, and environmental awareness within the project team and subcontractors.
  • Generate and maintain accurate and detailed records of field activities, daily logs, site progress updates, compliance documentation, project files as per project requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate project success.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards, as well as internal quality management systems, to achieve project objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in safety walkthrough inspections and audits during field visits to ensure adherence to quality and safety protocols and regulations.
  • Engage in training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and understanding of field engineering practices and technologies.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Proficiency in using engineering software and tools such as AutoCAD, or similar tools.
  • Adequate knowledge in Microsoft tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with a focus on effective collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel to different job sites and work in various environmental conditions as required.
