Position Summary

This role is responsible for creating and consolidating the annual budget, forecasting and reporting, and overseeing the business results for Egypt. It also involves delivering a comprehensive Profit and Loss (P&L) plan, forecasts, and variance analysis to the leadership team for Developing Markets.

The finance associate manager will share financial expertise and reinforce important financial principles within the Commercial Organization. The candidate will provide financial support to the Commercial team and its supporting functions by offering guidance and assistance. This role will closely collaborate with the commercial business director, who oversees the market.

The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, able to think strategically and proactively, and possess strong technical, managerial, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with partners at various levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Market Commercial team's financial submissions during forecasting, Outlooks & business planning in collaboration with the International Finance Center of Excellence (COE).
  • Present and explain all the Market Financial performance and details to Key Stakeholders in Business reviews, Forecast/budget reviews, and on any occasion as required.
  • Responsible for the coordination and submission of the Weekly Sales reports to the Finance COE.
  • Provide comprehensive understanding Market performance and outlook and risk profile through effective analysis and business partnering
  • Proactively review profit initiatives and risk mitigation activities.
  • Provide financial analysis for major proposals affecting the business, e.g., contract renewals, new product reviews, new projects, investments, and competitive pressures
  • Perform financial analysis to assess key economic and business variables and their impact on the business (e.g., foreign currency variation, inflation, category trends)
  • Provide financial decision support and analysis for the commercial organization, including the Sales and Marketing teams, to ensure the accuracy and quality of margin is driven through effective direction on Trade Investment ROI and margin management.
  • Manage the Market P&L from Sales to Operating Profit, including other key variables such as Working Capital, and Cash flow implications.
  • Preparation of the Category, Channel & Large Customer's financial plans.
  • Manage Category, Channel & Large Customer P&Ls from sales to gross margin, considering appropriate benchmarks and best practices for driving improved outcomes.
  • Deliver systems & process improvements through collaboration with the International Finance Center of Excellence (COE) and engagement with the commercial team.
  • Support team development by adopting a curious mindset that looks both internally and externally
  • Apply financial analysis techniques, tools, and technology, driving insights from Data, to guide business decisions and drive results.
  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders in the supply chain, controllership, commercial, Trade development, and marketing areas.
  • Plays an integral role in financial analysis, planning, reporting, consolidation and performance tracking of Egypt market.
  • Provide financial and business analysis to support commercial and Brand teams during business planning. Analyze Customer/Channel plans and trends to ensure financial expectations are achieved.
  • Partner with commercial teams to support and develop their business. Influence the Finance and Commercial Teams to help optimize Energizer's sales and profit growth.
  • Develop and maintain financial tools and reporting systems to support commercial planning and forecasting efforts.
  • Supervise the Trade Spend funds of its markets to optimize ROI and ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Ability to balance and leverage Strategic Objectives in addition to financial factors.
  • Partners with other members of the finance, supply chain, controllership, trade marketing, and marketing teams on cross-functional initiatives

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and accounting
  • Minimum 3 years of financial business partnering/analytical experience
  • Broad P&L exposure
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business partners
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Technical experience in SAP, Power BI, preferred
  • Excel (Advanced)
  • Internal (local and International) Financial Reporting experience
  • Experience in CPG industry preferred
  • Language: Arabic and English
