Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Professor to join our Hospitality and Tourism faculty. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in a relevant discipline and possess at least 3 years of teaching and/or industry experience. The faculty member will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, engaging in academic research, mentoring students, and contributing to the development of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
- Develop course materials, lesson plans, and assessments aligned with academic standards.
- Supervise student research projects, internships, and dissertations.
- Engage in scholarly research and publish in peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Participate in curriculum review and program development initiatives.
- Collaborate with industry partners and contribute to community engagement.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
- Serve on academic committees and participate in departmental and university events.
Qualifications And Experience
- PhD in Hospitality Management, Tourism Studies, or a closely related field (mandatory).
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience at the university level or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven record of academic research and publications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with learning management systems and modern teaching methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural academic environment.
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of global hospitality and tourism trends.
- Experience in international accreditation and quality assurance processes.
