Job Purpose
JOB DESCRIPTION
To lead and continuously enhance SME credit policy and portfolio risk management across the full SME lending lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on datadriven policy formulation, monitoring, and optimization. The role owns core SME policy responsibilities while also supporting the buildout of POSbased merchant lending as part of the wider SME strategy.
What You Will Do
SME Credit Policy Ownership:
- Own and develop SME credit policies covering underwriting, pricing, exposure management, renewals, and monitoring.
- Define risk appetite and ensure consistent application across SME products and channels.
Portfolio Analytics & DataDriven Policy Management
- Lead deepdive portfolio analytics, policy effectiveness testing, impact simulations, and development of senior management dashboards.
SME Lending Journey & Decisioning Frameworks
- Support digitization, automation, and embedding of policies into decision engines and workflows with strong governance controls.
POS Lending & Alternative SME Underwriting
- Contribute to POS lending policy design including eligibility, limits, pricing, and monitoring, ensuring alignment with overall SME risk appetite.
Stakeholder Management
- Present insights and recommendations to senior management and act as a trusted risk partner to SME business teams.
What You Will Bring
- 1015+ years in SME credit risk, policy, or portfolio analytics. UAE or similar market experience.
Preferred
- Exposure to POS or cashflowbased lending advantageous.
Technical Skills
- Strong data analytics capability with tools such as Python/R/SAS/SQL and BI platforms.
- Experience with digital decisioning systems preferred.
