This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with strong listening ability and attention to detail. No professional transcription experience required.

What You'll Do
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe speech into accurate, well-formatted text
- Handle a variety of speakers, accents, speech speeds, and audio quality levels
- Apply consistent formatting, punctuation, and grammar rules throughout each transcript
- Flag unclear or inaudible segments and note speaker changes where required
- Meet quality standards and turnaround targets for each assignment
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Strong active listening skills with a keen ear for detail
- Good typing speed and accuracy — you can keep up with spoken audio
- Patient and focused when working through challenging audio conditions
- Able to follow detailed transcription guidelines with consistency
- Comfortable using online tools and transcription software
- No prior professional transcription experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience with transcription tools or audio editing platforms
- Familiarity with different English accents or multilingual audio
- Background in journalism, captioning, court reporting, or administrative work
