Audiologist

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Conducts thorough audiometric evaluations to assess hearing ability and diagnose auditory disorders.
2. Administers advanced diagnostic procedures such as Otoacoustic emissions (OAE), auditory brainstem response (ABR), and tympanometry.
3. Interprets test results and collaborate with medical professionals to determine appropriate treatment plans.
4. Recommends and fits hearing aids, assistive listening devices, and other hearing enhancement technologies.
5. Provides comprehensive counseling and education to patients and their families on hearing health and communication strategies.
6. Collaborates seamlessly with physicians, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
7. Stays abreast of advancements in audiology research, technology, and treatment modalities.
8. Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
9. Educates patients and their families about health conditions, treatments and preventative measures if applicable.

10. Collects and redistribution of personal radiation dosimeter badges for personal dosimeter record and explaining the usage of it to each radiation worker.

11. Updates all staff carrying personal radiation dosimeter badge with their reading every 3 months.

12. Keeps records of all personnel radiation dosimeter readings and report if any person has exposed to an excess dose of radiation.

13. Strictly assures that each worker at any radiation are wears a personal dosimeter during their work within the department.

14. Investigating accidents or incidents involving radiation exposure to ensure that proper safety procedures were followed and protocols were in place.

Job Requirements:

1- Bachelor Degree in Audiology.

2-Proficiency in both English and Arabic languages .

3-License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority e.g. (SCFHS / DHA), BLS.

4-3 5 Years Experience in conducting Audiological assessments and providing rehabilitation services.
