Job Location : Dubai

Role Purpose

The Senior Auditor is responsible for leading field audit engagements from planning to completion. This role requires a high level of technical competence in IFRS and ISA, alongside a sharp eye for UAE-specific compliance requirements, including Corporate Tax (CT) and Value Added Tax (VAT).

Key Responsibilities

1. Execution of Audit Engagements

Lead the day-to-day execution of statutory audits, ensuring fieldwork is completed within the agreed-upon timeline.

Perform risk assessment procedures and develop audit programs tailored to the client's industry (Retail, Construction, Logistics, etc.).

Execute audit procedures, including testing of revenue recognition, valuation of assets, and assessment of Going Concern assumptions.

2. Technical Reporting & Documentation

Prepare audit working papers that provide a clear audit trail in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA).

Draft financial statements including full note disclosures in compliance with IFRS.

Understanding of UAE Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing and VAT is required.

4. Team Supervision

Directly supervise Junior Auditors and Interns, providing guidance on audit techniques and reviewing their work for accuracy.

Ensure that all audit evidence obtained is sufficient and appropriate to support the audit opinion.

Requirements & Qualifications

Professional Qualification: Partially or fully qualified ACCA, CA, CPA, or ICAEW.

Experience: 2-3 years of experience in external audit

Knowledge Base: Strong working knowledge of IFRS and UAE Federal Decree-Laws on Tax and Commercial Companies.

Software Skills: Expertise in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) and experience using audit software.

Communication: Strong command of written and spoken English. Ability to professionally handle client queries during fieldwork.
