Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate rebar shop drawings and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) in accordance with structural drawings and project specifications.
• Develop detailed steel fabrication and welding drawings for production and workshop use.
• Interpret structural and architectural drawings to produce precise and practical detailing outputs.
• Coordinate closely with the welding and fabrication section to ensure drawings align with production requirements.
• Revise and update drawings based on site instructions and workshop feedback.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project standards, specifications, and client requirements.
• Prepare cutting lists, material take-offs, and quantity calculations for fabrication and reinforcement works.
• Maintain proper documentation, drawing registers, and revision control.
• Provide technical support to the production team by clarifying drawing details and dimensions.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and QA/QC teams for drawing reviews and approvals.
• Ensure all drawings are practical, clear, and suitable for welding and fabrication processes.

Requirements & Skills

• Minimum 35 years of experience in rebar detailing and drafting.
• Strong knowledge of rebar detailing and steel fabrication drawings.
• Familiarity with welding symbols, welding joints, and fabrication standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant detailing software.
• Good understanding of construction standards and project specifications.
• Ability to independently read and interpret structural drawings.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience working in a steel fabrication or welding workshop is preferred.
