Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Automation Project Engineer located in Cairo, Egypt. The Automation Project Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, programming, and configuring industrial automation systems. The role involves designing and implementing process control systems, programming and maintaining Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), as well as interfacing and testing robotics systems. The Automation Project Engineer will work closely with the project team to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Job Description:
- This role is a cross functional role, where he shall be able to support both Automation Project based scope and day to day activities task's involving Troubleshooting Electrical variable speed drives (VSD) & soft starters (SS) issues and support production run smoothly. Interested candidate shall have the technical knowledge to set up and maintain electrical control systems.
- Needs to understand and create wiring schematics, electrical drawings, control panels and program VSD & SS.
- Cross functional role to lead New Automation-projects & trouble shooting of existing equipment's
- Able to transform concepts into detail designs of control systems with electrical circuit design and drawings.
- Able to manage projects on own and manage technicians efficiently.
- Optimizes equipment safety, availability and utilization through equipment automation.
- Responding to breakdowns, troubleshooting (controls and electricals).
- Analyze root causes and develop resolutions to prevent future occurrence of faults.
- Responsible for electrical maintenance activities in the factory including Power and production lines.
- Responsible for maintenance of variable speed drives & soft starters in our workshop or in site
- Develop and maintain automation ideas to improve production efficiency.
- Periodical check for electrical panels.
- Responsible for equipment status report.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of Experience in Automation field
- Experience in Schneider Products
- Experience in Troubleshooting and Process Control
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- Experience with Robotics systems
- Ability to read electrical drawings and diagrams
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience with SCADA systems is a plus
- Experience with electrical cabinets and panels is a plus
