Job Summary:
The AV Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all audiovisual (AV) systems. This role ensures seamless AV performance across exhibitions, galleries, auditoriums, interactive installations, and public spaces, supporting an exceptional visitor experience while complying with museum standards, safety regulations, and best practices in Qatar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily AV operations across permanent and temporary exhibitions, event spaces, theaters, and public areas.
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV systems, including:
- Digital signage and video walls
- Interactive displays and multimedia installations
- Projection systems and LED displays
- Sound reinforcement and background audio systems
- Control systems (Crestron, AMX, Extron or similar)
- Ensure uninterrupted AV performance during peak working hours, special exhibitions, VIP visits, and events.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules and manage corrective maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with curatorial, exhibition, facilities, IT, and external vendors to support exhibition changes, upgrades, and new installations.
- Lead AV commissioning, testing, and system handover for new exhibits and refurbishment projects.
- Develop and maintain AV SOPs, operational manuals, and technical documentation.
- Supervise and train AV technicians and operators, ensuring high service standards and technical competency.
- Manage AV-related incidents, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards,HSE regulations, and international AV best practices.
- Support budgeting, spare parts planning, vendor management, and service contracts.
- Maintain asset registers, warranties, and lifecycle replacement plans for AV equipment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Audio-Visual Technology, Electronics, Media Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 710 years of AV experience, with at least 35 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven experience in museums, galleries, cultural institutions, theme parks, or large public venues is highly preferred.
- Strong experience with interactive media, digital exhibits, and visitor-facing AV environments.
- Familiarity with international AV standards and best practices.

Certifications (Preferred):
- CTS / CTS-D / CTS-I (AVIXA)
- Crestron / Extron / AMX certifications
- IT/networking certifications (added advantage)
Working Conditions:
