Job Summary
The AV Presales Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to the sales team by designing and proposing Audio Visual solutions that meet client requirements. The role involves solution design, technical presentations, proposal preparation, and coordination with vendors and internal teams to ensure successful project acquisition.
Responsibilities
- Analyze client requirements and prepare AV system designs and solutions.
- Design integrated Audio-Visual systems including:
- Video conferencing systems
- Digital signage
- Meeting room & boardroom solutions
- Sound systems
- Control systems
- Prepare system architecture diagrams and technical submittals.
Proposal & Tender Management
- Prepare technical proposals, BOQs, and compliance sheets.
- Review RFPs/RFQs and ensure full technical compliance.
- Support tender submissions within deadlines.
Technical Support For Sales
- Work closely with sales team during client meetings and presentations.
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations.
- Provide cost estimation and solution optimization.
Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with AV vendors and manufacturers.
- Request quotations and validate technical specifications.
- Stay updated with new AV technologies and products.
Project Handover
- Support smooth handover to project delivery team after project award.
- Provide technical clarification during project execution when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electronics, Communication, or relevant field).
- 24 years of experience in AV Presales or AV Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of AV systems and integration solutions.
Technical Skills
- AV system design & integration.
- Knowledge of brands such as:
- Crestron
- Extron
- Logitech
- Bose
- Shure
- Poly / Cisco Collaboration
- AutoCAD or Visio drawing experience.
- Understanding of networking basics related to AV solutions.
