AWS Cloud Security Engineer

Job Description

The Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for securing complex AWS environments that host critical workloads for media platforms, financial services, and high-volume data processing systems. The role ensures confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud resources by implementing security controls, monitoring threats, and enforcing governance across AWS services such as IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, Guard Duty, WAF, Shield, Security Hub, and VPC networking components.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and implement cloud security architectures and controls

- Manage IAM policies, roles, and access governance

- Implement encryption using AWS KMS and manage secrets securely

- Operate security monitoring and threat detection services

- Implement and manage WAF and DDoS protection

- Conduct security reviews, risk assessments, and audits

- Support regulatory and compliance requirements (PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SOC2)

-Investigate and respond to cloud security incidents

- Produce security documentation, reports, and remediation plan

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- 4+ years experience in cloud or infrastructure security

- Strong knowledge of AWS security services (IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, WAF)

- Experience with SIEM, vulnerability management, and security tooling

- Solid understanding of cloud compliance framework
