Role Description
We are seeking a full-time, on-site role for a GCAA-licensed B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with experience on B737 NG and B737 MAX aircraft. The engineer is responsible for performing, supervising, and certifying scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including inspections, troubleshooting, defect rectification, and component replacement, to ensure the safety, reliability, and continued airworthiness of aircraft. All maintenance activities must be carried out in full compliance with CAR-145 regulations, OEM manuals, and company procedures, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and aircraft serviceability.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Aircraft Maintenance with comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues related to aircraft.
- Strong understanding of airworthiness regulations and standards (CAR-145, manufacturer manuals, and civil aviation authority requirements).
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.
- Perform and certify scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections of aircraft and components.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to identify potential defects or wear.
- Verify that all parts and components installed are properly certified and in working condition.
- Sign Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) within B1 authorization scope.
- Maintain accurate technical records, certification, and maintenance documentation.
- Provide logistical support and undertake projects related to aircraft maintenance.
- Analyse and interpret technical information, engineering manuals, and diagrams.
- Ensure facilities, premises, and equipment are maintained to standard.
- Confirm defects are accurately identified and recorded by crews.
- Collaborate with other departments to complete project work efficiently.
- Participate in initial and recurrent training to maintain technical competence.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Willing to travel within the UAE and internationally as required.
Requirements
- Valid GCAA Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML) Category B2 (mandatory)
- Type-rated and hands-on experience on B737 NG and B737 MAX (highly preferred)
- Minimum 35 years certifying experience
- Strong knowledge of avionics systems, MEL, troubleshooting, and independent checks
- Excellent English communication skills
