Job Description
A fabric buyer needs more than a price list: the right product, a workable production plan, and a commercial partner who can close the deal. This role sits at that junction, with ownership of an assigned market rather than a single inherited account list.
About the roleOwn the apparel-fabric business in your assigned market: build a strategic B2B customer network, turn buyer needs into feasible fabric solutions, and carry commercial performance through signed contracts and revenue. The work calls for someone who can sell directly, coordinate with production, R&D, and logistics, and operate independently.
What you'll own- Market strategy and results. Lead B2B sales plans for the industrial/apparel fabric portfolio; own revenue, market share, and overall business performance in your territory.
- A customer network you build. Expand relationships with garment manufacturers, brands buying fabric, distributors, and OEM/ODM partners, with a focus on strategic accounts rather than transactional retail.
- Major commercial agreements. Personally negotiate and close high-value, long-term contracts, taking responsibility for the buyer relationship and commercial outcome.
- Solutions that can be delivered. Translate customer requirements for production, R&D and logistics teams, then connect the proposed fabric solution back to the client's needs.
- Market intelligence. Read industry trends, customer demand, and competitor moves to steer sustainable growth decisions.
- Industry presence. Represent the company at international textile exhibitions, trade fairs and related events to deepen relationships and identify opportunities.
Must-have
- At least five years of proven B2B sales in apparel fabric, with examples of buyers, products, contracts, and commercial results.
- An established international client network and a credible way to develop business in the assigned market. Experience selling fabric from the manufacturing side to garment makers and fabric-buying brands is especially relevant.
- Textile supply-chain and international-trade knowledge sufficient to work with production and cross-border customers.
- Strategic ownership and independence: able to build a territory, handle senior customer conversations and close deals personally.
- Fluent English for the work described in the job specification.
Nice to have
- Additional languages useful for customers in the assigned market.
These are local-market roles. The Saudi Arabia position requires a base in Riyadh or Jeddah, the Egypt position in Cairo, and the UAE position in Dubai. The India, Pakistan, and Morocco positions are home-based with customer visits in their respective markets; home-based does not mean a global remote role. Direct selling, client visits, and industry events are part of the scope.
Why this moveFor a fabric sales leader who already develops buyers and closes contracts, the difference here is the breadth of territory ownership: strategy, account creation, deal execution, and market results sit together. Someone seeking only a managed account portfolio or a purely people-management role may find the hands-on commercial work less suitable.
Why Work HereThe role combines a producer's fabric portfolio with a chance to develop local B2B demand as Thai Tuan expands internationally. The stated offer includes:
- Competitive gross compensation, discussed according to experience, network, and market value. There is no limited fixed amount or range.
- Attractive, uncapped sales incentives based on performance. This is variable pay tied to results.
- High autonomy to develop the market and key accounts. The role starts with independent selling; no particular team size is promised.
- Opportunity to contribute to a Vietnamese textile brand's global expansion. The offer centers on commercial scope and does not specify a promotion pathway.
- A professional, agile and internationally oriented working environment. You will coordinate with production, R&D, and logistics on customer solutions.
- Home-based with customer visits in India, Pakistan and Morocco. This arrangement applies only to those three markets; the Saudi Arabia, Egypt and UAE roles require the city bases stated above.
The stated process comprises two interview rounds and one business plan. The sequence and brief for the plan can be discussed during the process.
Questions worth asking- Which fabric categories and buyer segments are the immediate priority in my specific market
- What production, sample development, and logistics support will be available when a prospective buyer requests a new specification
- How are territory revenue and market-share baselines defined for the performance incentive
- What scope should the business plan cover: accounts, product mix, routes to market or all three
Please specify one target market and highlight fabric categories, buyer relationships, and contracts you have owned. Apply through Linkedln, or send your CV directly to the headhunter by DM/direct message.
