Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to build and maintain reliable server-side systems that power our products and services. In this role, you will work closely with product, front-end, and infrastructure teams to develop scalable, secure, and efficient solutions. The ideal candidate has strong backend development experience, problem-solving ability, and can work independently in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs.
- Develop scalable and efficient server-side logic.
- Work with databases, data models, and system integrations.
- Debug issues, improve performance, and support production systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and technical discussions.
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and security of backend systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in backend engineering or software development.
- Strong understanding of server-side programming and application architecture.
- Experience working with databases and APIs.
- Ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and solve technical problems.
- Familiarity with testing, version control, and development workflows.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with modern backend frameworks or languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, Go, Ruby, or similar.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, microservices, or containerized environments.
- Understanding of system design and performance optimization.
- Experience working in Agile or product-focused environments.
