Job Summary:
The Bank Accountant (Treasury & Banking Relations) is responsible for managing and overseeing all banking activities and financial transactions between the company and financial institutions. This role ensures accurate recording of bank transactions, timely reconciliations, and the maintenance of strong banking relationships to support the company's liquidity and financial stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure that the company's cash records align perfectly with bank statements.
- Transaction Management: Monitor and record all incoming and outgoing banking transactions, including transfers, deposits, and automated payments.
- Banking Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for bank representatives to resolve any issues, follow up on facilities, or open/manage corporate accounts.
- Letter of Credit (LC) & Guarantees: Manage and track Letters of Credit (LCs) and Bank Guarantees (LGs), ensuring they are issued, amended, or cancelled according to business needs.
- Liquidity Monitoring: Prepare daily cash position reports to provide management with clear visibility on available funds and cash flow requirements.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all banking activities comply with company policies and local financial regulations, maintaining an organized archive of all bank correspondence.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in accounting, specifically focusing on banking operations or treasury management.
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (for financial modeling and reporting).
- Deep understanding of banking products, credit facilities, and international transfer protocols (SWIFT).
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for negotiating and dealing with bank officers.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict financial deadlines.
