Job Opportunity: Base Metals Trader, Remote

Location: Remote

Vallum Associates are working with an established Global Commodity Trading House who are looking to expand their footprint into Middle Eastern, Asian and/or African markets. The business is very strong across European Base Metal products i.e. Alu, Copper, Zinc and Lead and is now looking for a Trader to lead the expansion into those markets. This is a really exciting opportunity to build out a desk/book at a rapidly growing trading house.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and manage a portfolio of Middle Eastern, Asian or African clients.
• Develop trading strategies to grow the company's presence.
• Analyse Market conditions to develop Trading strategies.
• Travel nationally to meet clients and to strengthen existing relationships.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience of Commercial experience.
• Experience Trading/Sales of Base Metal products.
• An existing network across physical Middle East, Asia and/or African players.
• Experience analysing and evaluating trading or investment opportunities.

• Confident and engaging, with the ability to influence clients and senior management.

• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and methodical.

Compensation Package:

• Competitive salary. Ideally between 90,000 - 130,000 GBP plus a very competitive variable structure.
