Role Description
We are seeking a proactive, customer-focused Beach Manager to oversee the daily operations of our beach and surrounding facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure that guests have a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience. In addition to managing the beach itself, the role includes overseeing amenities such as bathrooms, showers, and equipment rentals. The Beach Manager will be the point of contact for guests and staff, ensuring that all operational aspects run smoothly.
Job Responsibilities
- Guest Service Excellence: Greet guests, answer inquiries, and provide assistance with services and amenities. Ensure that guests feel welcomed and have a memorable experience at the beach.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of the beach area and its surrounding facilities, including restrooms, showers, changing rooms, and seating areas. Ensure everything is clean, operational, and welcoming at all times.
- Facility Maintenance and Cleanliness: Regularly inspect and maintain the cleanliness and functionality of all beach facilities, including bathrooms, showers, seating, and any other amenities. Ensure that waste disposal and recycling stations are regularly emptied and well-maintained.
- Safety and Compliance: Monitor the beach area and surrounding facilities for safety, ensuring that all safety regulations are followed. This includes ensuring that equipment (umbrellas, loungers, etc.) is in good condition and enforcing beach rules and regulations.
- Staff Supervision: Lead and coordinate beach and facility staff, including lifeguards, attendants, and maintenance personnel. Provide ongoing support, training, and ensure team members are delivering exceptional customer service.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle emergencies such as medical incidents or weather-related concerns. Work closely with emergency responders when necessary and maintain the highest safety standards.
- Customer Experience Management: Handle guest feedback, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally. Address any issues with the facilities (e.g., cleanliness, broken equipment) in a timely manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Inventory and Equipment Management: Keep track of supplies and equipment related to the beach and surrounding amenities (e.g., beach chairs, umbrellas, cleaning supplies). Ensure that everything is properly stocked, maintained, and safe for use.
- Event and Activity Coordination: Assist with planning and coordinating beach events, rentals, and recreational activities.
- Reporting: Maintain regular reports on the condition of beach facilities, guest feedback, staff performance, and any issues that need addressing. Keep track of maintenance and supply needs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in hospitality, customer service, or facility management (5 years preferred).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to multitask and manage various operational aspects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of beach safety procedures, facility maintenance, and guest services.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment and manage tasks in varying weather conditions.
- Leadership experience and ability to manage a diverse team.
- Fluent in both English and Arabic
Preferred:
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience managing or supervising outdoor spaces with multiple amenities.
- Familiarity with local culture, tourism, and recreational offerings.
Work Environment:
This is a hands-on, outdoor role that requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions. The Beach Manager will be responsible for ensuring the beach and surrounding facilities are safe, clean, and functional at all times.
