Job Summary
The Consultant - Bid Management, Managed Services will be responsible for managing the full bid lifecycle for IT Managed Services opportunities. This includes preparing technical and commercial proposals in response to RFP/RFI/RFQ, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and supporting presales activities such as preparing presentations, gathering requirements, and conducting solution workshops. The role demands deep bid management expertise, strong bilingual communication skills (Arabic & English), and the ability to deliver high-quality, competitive responses.
Education and Training Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Preferred certifications:
- ITIL v4 (highly desired)
- ISO 20000 Implementer or Auditor
- ISO 27001 Implementer or Auditor
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- ServiceNow ITSM certifications
Experience Requirements
- Experience in the GCC market is mandatory.
- Minimum 810 years of overall IT/Technology experience, with at least 4 years dedicated to bid management in Managed Services (Service Desk, ITSM, Cloud/Infrastructure, SOC/NOC, Application Services, IT Outsourcing).
- Experience with Tier-1 and Tier-2 IT service providers (TCS, Wipro, HCL, Infosys, Capgemini, IBM, DXC, Atos, NTT Data) is nice to have.
- Strong understanding of Managed Services delivery models: Service Desk, ITSM, SOC/NOC, Cloud & Infrastructure, Application Managed Services, and IT Outsourcing.
- Proven record of preparing proposals, commercial models, service transition plans, SLA-based operating models, and packaging service offerings in the context of Managed Services.
- Demonstrated experience in reviewing, negotiating, and writing SLA requirements in contracts and RFP responses.
- Prior involvement in developing and submitting proposals for Master Framework Agreements (MFA) is highly desired.
- Familiarity with IT governance and frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, ISO 20000, ISO 27001, and cloud adoption frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end bid management lifecycle: qualification, bid planning, response structuring, content development, reviews, and submission.
- Support the bid/no-bid decision process by preparing structured tender summaries highlighting:
- Key requirements and evaluation criteria
- Competitive advantages and differentiators
- Risks and mitigations
- Assumptions and dependencies
- Scope of Work (SoW) alignment
- Pricing and payment terms
- Compliance and red flags
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals for IT Managed Services: Service Desk, Cloud, Infrastructure, SOC/NOC, Security, Application Managed Services.
- Write proposals and technical documentation in both Arabic and English, ensuring clarity, compliance, and persuasiveness.
- Develop comprehensive bid content: SoW, solution descriptions, service delivery models, transition plans, assumptions/constraints, SLA definitions, commercials, team profiles, references, success stories.
- Ensure that all proposals and contracts clearly define Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and penalties/rewards models.
- Define, package, and articulate Managed Services offerings into clear sales-ready and customer-ready documents.
- Develop proposals for Master Framework Agreements (MFA) in the context of Managed Services, including modular pricing, scalable service catalogs, and flexible engagement models.
- Produce professional diagrams and visual content to represent technical architectures, service models, processes, and delivery approaches.
- Design and deliver both technical presentations and sales pitch decks tailored for different audiences (executives, business stakeholders, technical teams).
- Lead presales efforts by preparing solution presentations, conducting requirements gathering workshops, and supporting solutioning teams.
- Collaborate with delivery, operations, finance, and legal teams to ensure compliance and alignment with capabilities.
- Conduct bid reviews, create bid briefs, and manage workshare agreements with internal stakeholders and partners.
- Develop and maintain sales collaterals, proposal templates, and reusable bid content to accelerate the proposal process.
- Implement quality assurance processes to review proposals, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement in the bid management process, incorporating lessons learned and best practices.
- Stay updated on Managed Services market trends and competitor offerings to strengthen proposal positioning.
Skills Requirements
- Excellent command of Arabic and English (spoken and written)
- Proven ability to write high-quality technical and commercial proposals in both languages
- Strong understanding of SLA frameworks and ability to translate them into contractual and operational commitments
- Ability to package Managed Services offerings into structured service catalogs, pricing models, and delivery frameworks
- Ability to produce diagrams (service architectures, delivery workflows, SLA dashboards, etc.) using tools such as Visio, PowerPoint, Lucidchart, or similar
- Ability to develop impactful presentations both technical solution overviews and business/sales pitch decks
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate tenders and highlight competitive positioning, risks, and compliance gaps
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously
- Strategic thinker with problem-solving ability to bridge gaps between sales, technical, and delivery teams
- Proficiency in bid management tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
