Main job duties and responsibilities:
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations for structural elements.
- Develop and maintain accurate BIM models for structural systems using software.
- Ensure BIM models are updated and coordinated with other disciplines, resolve any design clashes or discrepancies.
- Apply BIM standards, protocols, and workflows to deliver consistent and high-quality models.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs with architectural, MEP, and other project elements.
- Conduct regular quality checks on BIM models and design outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance with WD standards.
- Ensure all structural designs adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase to address structural design-related issues.
- Prepare detailed documentation of structural designs, calculations, and BIM workflows.
- Ensure proper record-keeping and archiving of design deliverables and BIM models.
- Perform any additional tasks that might be necessary for easier workflow, within the main frame of the job's specialty.
Job requirements:
Educational background and previous experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design and BIM model.
Knowledge and Functional Skills:
- Proficiency in BIM software.
- Very good command of written and spoken English.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Expertise in structural engineering principles and design methodologies.
