BIM Engineer - Senior Engineer (Structural)

Main job duties and responsibilities:

1. Review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations for structural elements.
2. Develop and maintain accurate BIM models for structural systems using software.
3. Ensure BIM models are updated and coordinated with other disciplines, resolve any design clashes or discrepancies.
4. Apply BIM standards, protocols, and workflows to deliver consistent and high-quality models.
5. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs with architectural, MEP, and other project elements.
6. Conduct regular quality checks on BIM models and design outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance with WD standards.
7. Ensure all structural designs adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
8. Provide technical support during the construction phase to address structural design-related issues.
9. Prepare detailed documentation of structural designs, calculations, and BIM workflows.
10. Ensure proper record-keeping and archiving of design deliverables and BIM models.
11. Perform any additional tasks that might be necessary for easier workflow, within the main frame of the job's specialty.

Job requirements:

Educational background and previous experience:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design and BIM model.

Knowledge and Functional Skills:

1. Proficiency in BIM software.
2. Very good command of written and spoken English.
3. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
4. Expertise in structural engineering principles and design methodologies.
