Role Overview:
As a BIM Engineer – Structural, you will support the development and coordination of structural systems through Building Information Modeling (BIM). Working under the guidance of the BIM Manager and reporting to the Senior BIM Manager, you will play a key role in model production, coordination, and technical documentation. You will ensure that structural systems are accurately represented and coordinated in line with project requirements and specifications.
This role is production-focused, requiring hands-on involvement in structural modeling, detailing, and the preparation of coordinated outputs using BIM tools. You will be a critical part of the team, driving timely and practical solutions for project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain BIM models for structural systems including frames, slabs, and foundations.
- Ensure alignment with approved drawings, specifications, and structural design information.
- Produce detailed structural layouts, sections, and details.
- Update and maintain model accuracy and data integrity using Revit Structure.
- Coordinate with architectural and MEP systems to identify and resolve clashes.
- Participate in coordination meetings and model review sessions.
- Track and support timely resolution of coordination issues.
- Assist in the preparation of structural drawings and details from BIM models.
- Ensure that BIM models align with issued structural drawings and site conditions.
- Support RFIs and Technical Queries (TQs) by providing BIM inputs.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies between models and site conditions.
- Stay up-to-date with BIM standards, structural workflows, and coordination processes.
- Promote and implement BIM best practices across the team.
- Experience: 3–6 years of experience in BIM modeling or coordination with a focus on structural systems.
- Skills: Proficient in Revit Structure, Navisworks, and other BIM tools.
- Knowledge: Familiar with structural systems, clash detection, coordination workflows, and Common Data Environment (CDE) processes.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications: BIM-related certifications are a plus.
- Language: Good command of English (written and spoken).
