Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Biomedical Equipment Technician based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves both on-site and remote responsibilities. The technician will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and calibrating medical equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. Key tasks include performing routine inspections, troubleshooting equipment issues, ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards, and assisting with the installation of new medical devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on medical and laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Install , test and commission new medical devices and equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions and perform corrective repairs in a timely manner.
- Calibrate and test equipment to ensure accurate and safe operation consistent with regulatory and safety standards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance, calibration, repair history, and equipment performance logs.
- Provide technical support and training to healthcare personnel on proper equipment use and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to address equipment needs and ensure continuous operational readiness.
- Order and manage inventory of spare parts and tools required for maintenance tasks.
- Respond to emergency service calls and provide on-call technical support as required.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Technology, Electronics or a related technical field.
- Experience with Medical Equipment operation and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Calibration and ensuring Electrical Safety protocols.
- Technical understanding of medical device systems.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in both on-site and remote settings.
- Prior experience in the healthcare or medical device industry is a plus.
