We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Cluster Development Manager to drive the growth and development of our venture building activities, including developing the Neom Satellites, the Entrepreneurs in Residence Program and the Seed Investment Program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing crucial functions, including technology transfer, incubation and acceleration programs, nurturing entrepreneurs in residence, and attracting potential investors to foster innovation and sustainable growth within the Biotech Sector in Neom.
The position reports to Neom Biotech Cluster Development Senior Manager
Key Accountabilities & Activities
Neom Satellites Development:
Benchmark and identify cities where to establish our Satellite offices
- Establish partnerships with local ecosystems (Universities, Incubators, biotech associations, investors)
Technology Transfer
Understand the technology transfer and IP process.
Able to design in licensing or early stage investment Term Sheets
Venture Building
- Design and implement effective incubation and acceleration programs tailored to support the growth and development of emerging biotech startups and ventures.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to participating startups, fostering a conducive environment for their sustainable growth and success.
Entrepreneurs In Residence
- Recruit, mentor, and support a diverse cohort of Entrepreneurs in Residence, fostering a vibrant ecosystem of experienced professionals dedicated to driving innovation within Neom BioTech.
- Cultivate a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge-sharing and cross-pollination of ideas among Entrepreneurs in Residence and other stakeholders.
Investor Attraction
- Develop and execute strategies to attract potential investors, both domestic and international, to invest in the growth and development of the Neom Biotech Sector.
- Cultivate strong relationships with venture capitalists, private equity firms, and other key stakeholders to secure necessary funding for cluster expansion and technological advancements.
Background, Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's (Master or PhD preferred) degree in Biotechnology or the similar, with a Master in Business Administration preferred
Proven experience in venture building, investment and/or technology transfer
- In-depth knowledge of the biotech industry, including current trends, emerging technologies, and key players.
- Strong project management and leadership skills with a track record of successful program implementation and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- A strategic mindset with a demonstrated ability to drive innovation and foster a culture of collaboration and growth.
