Job Title: Biology and Biochemistry Content Developer
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Biology and Biochemistry Content Developer to help develop MCAT-level educational materials. This is a project-based role that involves developing curriculum content, designing lessons, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for ensuring scientific accuracy, instructional clarity, and effective integration of visual elements across all course materials.
Responsibilities:
- Develop curriculum outlines and clearly defined learning objectives for MCAT science topics.
- Design and storyboard educational slide presentations aligned with the curriculum.
- Collaborate with visual designers and illustrators to integrate accurate, relevant visuals into educational content.
- Creating or reviewing related educational activities and practice questions, specifically for the video course.
- Participate in ongoing revisions and quality assurance for content accuracy and pedagogical effectiveness.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of textbook content.
- Report to the Director of Product and/or the Scientific Content Manager for regular feedback and approvals.
- Contribute to additional content development as needed to support the course's success.
Requirements:
- Master's in Biology or Biochemistry preferred; advanced coursework or research experience in related biological sciences is a plus. (Postgraduate-level education is preferred.
- Prior experience creating or reviewing biology and/or biochemistry curriculum at the college level
- Previous experience teaching in a classroom setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with instructional design principles and effective science communication.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., design, curriculum, product).
- Excellent written communication and attention to scientific detail.
- Comfortable working independently under weekly deadlines (.. hours/week commitment).
