eMagine Solutions is partnering with a global freight forwarding and logistics player to hire a Branch Manager for their NEW Abu Dhabi operation.
This is not a keep-the-lights-on branch role. It's a commercial leadership seat for someone who can hunt, win, and grow and build a high-performing sales culture around them. If you're the type who likes to eat what you kill, lead from the front, and want a clear runway into a General Manager role, this one's for you.
- Grow the Abu Dhabi freight forwarding business (revenue, margin, and market presence)
- Lead from the front in BD: open doors, win key accounts, and build a predictable pipeline
- Build and coach a sales team (player/coach style) with clear targets, standards, and accountability
- Bring solution selling / consultative selling to the market (not rate-card selling)
- Use the backing of a global brand: structure, financial strength, governance, and controlsand turn that into growth
What you'll be doing (day to day)
- Own the commercial number for the branch (new business + retention + growth)
- Personally drive strategic account acquisition and high-value opportunities
- Develop a focused go-to-market plan (verticals, lanes, products, target lists)
- Lead pricing strategy with strong yield/margin discipline
- Partner with operations to ensure delivery matches the promise (service = retention)
- Create a performance culture: activity standards, pipeline hygiene, conversion metrics
The profile that wins here
We're looking for a BD-first freight forwarding leadersomeone who has done the hard yards in the UAE market and can build a book of business, not just manage one.
A great background could look like:
- Started in a top-tier global (e.g., DHL, DSV, Kuehne+Nagel, DB Schenker, FedEx, etc.)
- Then moved to a mid-sized / smaller forwarder where you became more rounded (solutions, consultative selling, broader commercial ownership)
- Now ready to step into a role with global structure + backing, and scale properly
Must-haves
- Proven hunter BD track record in freight forwarding (UAE market)
- Experience leading a sales team (or clearly operating as a senior player/coach)
- Strong knowledge across products: Air / Ocean / Road (and value-add solutions)
- Commercial maturity: pipeline management, forecasting, margin focus
- Leadership style that sets standards and drives output (not busy)
