The Business Analyst (ICT Governance) is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of IT strategies and robust ICT governance frameworks to ensure compliance, risk control, and delivery excellence.
The role ensures alignment between IT initiatives and business objectives while driving structured reporting, enterprise risk management, and continuous improvement in service delivery processes. The incumbent also plays a key role in stakeholder engagement, performance tracking, and governance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Strategy Development
- Support the development and execution of IT strategy aligned with business goals.
- Ensure IT initiatives and projects are aligned with organizational objectives and deliver measurable value.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, business units, and IT teams to ensure ongoing alignment between strategy and execution.
- Assist in translating business requirements into governance-aligned technology initiatives.
2. IT Governance
- Develop, maintain, and enhance ICT governance frameworks to ensure alignment between IT and business objectives.
- Monitor and track departmental KPIs and strategic initiatives to ensure timely completion.
- Establish and maintain structured reporting mechanisms for IT delivery and operational performance.
- Coordinate with team leads to consolidate and submit weekly operational progress reports.
- Identify and track service improvement initiatives to enhance delivery efficiency and operational effectiveness.
3. Program Governance & Delivery Excellence
- Support the establishment and enforcement of standardized IT program and project delivery processes.
- Ensure adherence to defined governance and reporting frameworks across IT teams.
- Monitor compliance with governance standards and escalate deviations where necessary.
- Identify, assess, and manage enterprise-level IT risks (ERM).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within IT governance and delivery processes.
4. Enterprise Risk & Compliance
- Assist in identifying and mitigating IT-related risks.
- Support IT audit activities and governance compliance reviews.
- Ensure adherence to governance policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain documentation and evidence to support audit readiness.
5. Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Provide structured updates to senior management and stakeholders on program performance, risks, and issues.
- Facilitate periodic stakeholder meetings to ensure transparency in IT delivery and operational activities.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving stakeholder engagement and service value delivery.
- Promote proactive communication and continuous improvement across IT functions.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience
- Minimum 8+ years of experience across various IT domains.
- At least 3+ years in a governance, strategy, PMO, or similar role.
- Experience in customer-facing or stakeholder management environments is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing ICT governance frameworks.
- Experience supporting IT program governance and structured delivery frameworks.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
Certifications (Preferred)
- ITIL
- COBIT
- PMP
- PRINCE2
- Other relevant governance or project management certifications
