Job Description

ISTL Energy is looking for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Business Development Engineer Solar to drive growth in the UAE solar market.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with solar EPCs or developers, a strong technical understanding of solar PV systems, and proven ability to generate leads, close deals, and manage client relationships in Residential and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segments.

This role requires a self-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in Residential and C&I solar projects
  • Generate leads through field visits, networking, cold calling, referrals, and partnerships
  • Conduct client meetings, site visits, and preliminary technical assessments
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and technical-commercial offers
  • Coordinate with engineering and operations teams for project feasibility and execution
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales deals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and developers
  • Track sales pipeline and maintain CRM records
  • Stay updated on UAE solar regulations (DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, Net Metering policies)
  • Represent ISTL Energy in exhibitions, industry events, and client meetings
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets

Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical / Renewable Energy / Mechanical preferred)
  • Minimum 25 years of experience in business development or sales with a solar EPC or solar developer in UAE
  • Proven experience in Residential and C&I solar projects
  • Strong understanding of solar PV system design, components, and commercial models

Mandatory:

  • Currently based in Dubai / UAE
  • Valid UAE driving license
  • Experience working with solar EPCs or developers
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits
