Carden SG is looking for a proactive and personable Business Development Executive to support the growth of our corporate workshops, live stations, gifting services and retail business.
The main focus of this role is to manage inbound enquiries, conduct outbound business development and convert sales opportunities into confirmed bookings. The role will also provide operational support for the studio, retail activities, workshops and events when required.
This position is suitable for someone who enjoys client communication, sales and relationship-building, and is comfortable working in a hands-on and fast-paced small business environment.
Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries received through WhatsApp, email, social media and other platforms.
Understand client requirements, including event date, group size, budget, venue and preferred activity.
Recommend suitable workshops, live stations, gifting options and other Carden SG services.
Prepare and send quotations, proposals, presentation decks and supporting information.
Follow up consistently on enquiries and outstanding quotations to convert opportunities into confirmed bookings.
Conduct outbound outreach to companies, HR teams, event agencies, schools, community organisations and other potential partners.
Reconnect with previous clients to explore repeat bookings and new opportunities.
Arrange and attend client calls or meetings when required.
Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations, follow-ups, lead sources and confirmed bookings.
Work towards agreed sales, outreach and conversion targets.
Ensure a clear handover of confirmed bookings to the operations team.
Build and maintain professional relationships with new and existing clients.
Provide timely updates and follow through on client requests.
Identify opportunities for repeat bookings, add-ons and suitable package upgrades.
Handle standard client questions and concerns professionally.
Escalate complex pricing, customisation or operational matters to management where required.
Support day-to-day studio operations, including assisting walk-in customers, processing retail purchases and maintaining an organised retail and workshop space.
Assist with product preparation, packing, labelling, order fulfilment and basic stock monitoring when required.
Support the preparation, setup, facilitation and teardown of workshops, live stations, pop-ups and corporate events.
Engage professionally with customers and participants, including guiding simple scent-making activities after training.
Travel to external venues and support selected evening or weekend events based on the event schedule.
Experience in business development, sales, account servicing, customer service, retail or events is preferred.
Fresh graduates or career switchers with strong communication skills and a proactive attitude may also apply.
Comfortable communicating with clients through WhatsApp, email, telephone calls and face-to-face meetings.
Able to write clear and professional client messages.
Confident in following up with prospective clients and working towards sales targets.
Organised and able to manage multiple enquiries, quotations and deadlines.
Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
Willing to support retail operations and hands-on event work when required.
Comfortable standing for extended periods and assisting with the movement of event materials.
Able to support selected evenings, weekends and off-site events.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace or Canva would be an advantage.
An interest in fragrance, wellness, lifestyle products or creative experiences would be beneficial.
