Job Description

The Business Development Executive is a field-based commercial role responsible for sourcing, onboarding, and maintaining relationships with F&B traders and suppliers on our client's platform. Our client's platform connects HORECA buyers with suppliers and embedded financial services. This role focuses on leveraging existing supplier connections and building new relationships through face-to-face engagement. The position offers flexibility in office presence, with the expectation that most time is spent in the field meeting with suppliers and managing relationships.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

Relationship Management & Sourcing

  • Leverage existing connections with traders and suppliers to onboard them onto the platform
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers through regular in-person meetings
  • Identify and approach new supplier prospects to expand the supplier network
  • Conduct supplier assessments to ensure fit and quality alignment with platform standards

Supplier Onboarding & Support

  • Guide suppliers through the onboarding process onto the platform
  • Ensure suppliers understand platform requirements, processes, and expectations
  • Provide ongoing support to maintain supplier satisfaction and retention

Field Engagement

  • Conduct regular in-person meetings with suppliers at their locations
  • Understand supplier business models, capabilities, and constraints
  • Build trust and long-term partnerships with key suppliers

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in B2B supplier relationships, sales, or account management (preferred F&B or HORECA sectors)
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage own schedule
  • Comfortable with frequent field travel and in-person meetings
  • Understanding of trading/wholesale business (F&B background preferred)
  • Fluent in English; Arabic a plus for local supplier engagement

Compensation:

  • 10,000 AED + uncapped commission structure
