Job Title: KSA Business Development Executive
Reports to: Head of Business Development (ME)
Working Hours: 08:30 – 18:00 (Sunday – Thursday)
Location: Riyadh, KSA
Role Summary:
The KSA Business Development Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth in line with agreed quarterly and annual targets, while actively promoting our client and its full range of capabilities within the Saudi market. The role requires a strong understanding of the company's projects, services, and value proposition, enabling effective representation to clients, partners, and stakeholders. This position involves leading client-facing activities, including introductory presentations and ongoing relationship management, to build and maintain trusted partnerships. The Business Development Executive ensures consistent engagement with prospective and existing clients, monitors market opportunities, and maintains accurate tracking of leads, bids, and sales performance. As with all members of the our client's team, this role has a responsibility to drive our client's DNA each and every day.
Responsibilities:
• Generate revenue in alignment with agreed, specific, quarterly and annual targets.
• Perform the day-to-day activities that represent and promote our client
• Hold a thorough understanding of all the specific projects, skills and capabilities of our client, and their added value.
• Lead introductory presentations to clients, prospective clients and partners, leaning on the expertise of our KSA team as required.
• Ensure regular, proactive contact with new and existing clients and partners to maintain trusted authentic relationships and monitor prospective leads and upcoming projects.
• Ensure sales tracker document is up to date for leads and live bids.
• Respond to requests, calls and emails in a timely manner.
• Review RFP's sent to you to ensure a suitable project for our client and create a summary of the project and RFP requirements which can be shared with the Commercial team and Design teams for further discussion.
• Ensure a collaborative approach to all bidding matters by ensuring the Commercial, Finance and Design teams have full knowledge of the RFP their role in delivering comprehensive bid responses to clients. Arrange and host bid meetings where required.
• Monitor the conversion rate of proposals submitted vs secured projects and collaboratively develop strategies to increase conversion rate.
• Closely liaise with the pre-contract team and post-contract team to pass on all relevant client feedback which is job-related.
• Develop targeted industry networks to expand market knowledge and facilitate complementary associations.
• Ensure regular presence at industry-related events.
Skills and Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a Business Development role within the construction industry. • Execution of commercial bidding with an approach of proactive problem solving and decision making
• Ability to learn from experience and put processes into place to ensure proactive reduction of errors and challenges.
• Strong communication, influencing and relationship building skills
• Experience in coordinating between teams to support with effective development of proposals, and communication throughout the bid process
• Proven ability to convert leads into sales.
• Confidence presenting alone to larger groups of people.
• Currently residing in or near Riyadh
