Job Description

A Saudi company specializing in the transportation of fuel and petroleum products is seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead its business growth and sales activities across Saudi Arabia.

The position will focus on acquiring new clients, developing strategic accounts, securing long-term transportation contracts, and expanding business relationships with energy and fuel companies, industrial clients, contractors, and government and private-sector organizations.

The ideal candidate will have direct experience in fuel and petroleum products transportation, strong knowledge of the Saudi market, an established network of relevant clients and stakeholders, and a proven track record of securing contracts and achieving revenue and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement business development and sales plans aligned with the company's strategic objectives.

• Identify and acquire new clients within the energy, fuel, industrial, contracting, government, and private sectors.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with energy companies, fuel distributors, industrial clients, contractors, and other key stakeholders.

• Develop existing client accounts and identify opportunities to increase revenue and contract value.

• Explore new markets and commercial opportunities for fuel and petroleum products transportation services.

• Convert qualified business opportunities into sustainable, long-term contracts.

• Understand clients operational and commercial requirements and develop suitable transportation solutions.

• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, pricing submissions, and service-level agreements.

• Lead commercial negotiations and coordinate the contracting process through final award and signature.

• Monitor government and private-sector tenders and coordinate the preparation and submission of tender documents.

• Coordinate with the operations team to ensure contracted services are delivered according to agreed quality, safety, and scheduling requirements.

• Conduct market and competitor analysis and recommend initiatives that strengthen the company's competitive position.

• Develop sales forecasts, manage the opportunity pipeline, and provide periodic reports on performance, opportunities, and conversion rates.

• Follow up on outstanding client payments in coordination with the finance department and ensure compliance with contractual payment terms.

• Represent the company in relevant meetings, exhibitions, industry events, and commercial discussions.

• Ensure compliance with Ministry of Energy requirements, applicable regulations, client requirements, and relevant safety standards.

• Achieve approved sales, revenue, profitability, and business growth targets.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management.

• At least 5 years of direct business development or sales experience in fuel and petroleum products transportation within Saudi Arabia.

• Proven experience in road tanker transportation, fuel logistics, or bulk liquid transportation is essential.

• Demonstrated success in securing strategic contracts and achieving revenue and profitability growth.

• Strong knowledge of the Saudi energy, fuel transportation, industrial, and logistics markets.

• An established network of relationships with energy companies, fuel distributors, industrial clients, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Existing relationships with Saudi Aramco, its contractors, service providers, or approved fuel distributors are strongly preferred.

• Practical experience in tenders, technical and commercial proposals, pricing, contract negotiations, and service-level agreements.

• Good understanding of transportation operations, fleet capacity, contract costing, safety requirements, and service delivery.

• Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills.

• Fluency in Arabic and English.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
