Job Description

Core Purpose: The Business Development Manager will lead growth initiatives for our company in the field of Market Research, by identifying business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, securing new projects, and maximizing revenue from existing accounts. This role requires a strong understanding of market research methodologies, proposal development, and client needs across public and private sectors. The BDM will work closely with research, analytics, and operations teams to deliver tailored, high-value research solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Business Growth: Identify new opportunities, build a sales pipeline, and achieve revenue targets.

Acquiring and Manage Clients: Approach government and corporate clients, understand needs, and maintain strong long-term relationships.

Lead Proposals & Bids: Prepare proposals and RFP responses, develop pricing offers, and negotiate contracts to win projects.

Market Intelligence: Track industry trends and competitors to guide positioning, pricing, and new service development.

Build Partnerships: Collaborate with agencies, technology providers, and fieldwork partners to expand capabilities and reach.

Sales Reporting: Manage CRM, track KPIs, and provide regular performance updates to management.

Represent the Company: Attend events, build networks, and support creation of case studies and thought-leadership content.

Qualifications

Minimum 58 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Client Management roles.

Demonstrated success in winning projects, managing RFPs, and securing high-value clients.

Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and building sustainable commercial pipelines.

Experience in market research (research methodologies), consulting, or related industries is favorable.

Experience working with government entities and large corporate clients is highly desirable.
